The Worthington Trojans girls basketball team now knows what it will take to get into the state tournament.

Worthington, seeded second in Section 2AAA, will open its tournament play with a first-round tilt Tuesday night at home against Hutchinson. Tip time is set for 7 p.m.

Worthington (19-3) enters the tournament on an eight-game winning streak, and has won 10 of its last 11 games. Hutchinson (5-19) has lost 10 of its last 12 games.

Marshall (23-2), the defending sectional champion and top-ranked team in the latest Class AAA polls, is the section's top seed. The Tigers defeated the Trojans in last year's Section 2AAA championship game, 57-41, at Minnesota State University-Mankato.

This year's title game will be played in Saint Peter.
