WHS music recital is 6:30 p.m. Thursday

WORTHINGTON -- Approximately 75 Worthington High School (WHS) choir, band and orchestra students will participate in a solo/ensemble recital at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

WORTHINGTON - Approximately 75 Worthington High School (WHS) choir, band and orchestra students will participate in a solo/ensemble recital at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

 

The recital, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the school’s music wing.

 

Students, either as soloists or in small groups, will perform the selections they have prepared in anticipation of Friday’s Minnesota State High School League regional solo/ensemble music contest, which takes place Friday at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Directors of the young musicians are Kerry Johnson, Melanie Loy and Jon Loy. In all, 36 different musical entries will be on the program.
