JACKSON — Joel Armando Guerrero-Vidal, 32, of Windom, is facing charges of felony third-degree assault resulting in substantial bodily harm following a July 29 incident in the city of Jackson.
According to the criminal complaint, an assault was reported at 9:22 a.m. July 29, at Ametek Corporation, 177 Industrial Parkway, Jackson. Guerrero-Vidal, an employee at the business, reportedly punched another male employee in the face, resulting in a three-quarter-inch laceration above the victim’s left eyebrow. Approximately 20 other employees witnessed the alleged attack.
Guerrero-Vidal was apprehended several hours later in Windom, was placed under arrest and transported to the Jackson County Jail. He was released Aug. 4 on a non-cash bond. His initial appearance in Fifth Judicial District Court was Wednesday.
