WORTHINGTON -- Two Windom women have been charged with controlled substance crimes after selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant (CI) in Nobles County.
According to the criminal complaint, Vickie Lynn Benson, 46, and Judy Ann Graft, 56, were arrested after a CI contacted a member of the Buffalo Ridge Drug and Gang Task Force about a controlled buy from Benson. The officer learned Benson had said she would be getting meth from Graft, who allegedly had the drugs at her home in Windom.
During a recorded phone call, the CI spoke to Graft, who said she had two "eight balls" available for $350 each. Graft said during the call that she would seal the meth in an envelope and have Benson deliver it to a Brewster residence. Graft told the CI to call Benson, who said she would meet the CI in Brewster.
The CI was fitted with an electronic transmitting device and given buy money. At the address in Brewster, the CI met with Benson inside the house. The officers heard Benson talk about the weight of the meth, and that Graft had already weighed it out.
The CI brought the meth back to the officers, and it later field-tested positive for meth and weighed 5.8 grams.
