GRANITE FALLS - A woman has died from head trauma suffered in an alleged domestic assault early Monday morning in Granite Falls.
A 53-year-old man was arrested for domestic assault and is tied to the death of 65-year-old Linda Kay Boehme, a news release from the Granite Falls Police Department said.
The man remains in custody at the Yellow Medicine County Jail in Granite Falls pending formal charges. Law enforcement has not yet released the suspect’s name.
The Granite Falls Police Department was dispatched at 1:22 a.m. Monday to a Granite Falls residence to investigate a 911 call. Officers found Boehme on the floor, unresponsive, with injuries to her head and face.
Boehme was flown to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Hospital officials notified authorities Monday evening that Boehme had died, the news release said.
