WORTHINGTON — A new drive-thru testing site will open Thursday in Worthington for all employees of the JBS pork processing facility to be tested for the highly contagious novel coronavirus.
On Wednesday morning, individuals were erecting barricades at the Nobles County Fairgrounds, 1600 Stower Drive, Worthington, that will help direct people through the testing site.
Testing will be provided from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
This event is for JBS employees who work at the local plant only. Individuals must remain in their car and follow the identified route for the simple test. Also, workers must bring with them their JBS employee ID card. There is no charge for the test.
Any family members who are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 must call their medical clinic for information about being tested.
