Sandra Krogman-Spidel, 76, of Lismore, MN, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Sanford Hospital in Luverne, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM on Friday, May 31, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM and will continue until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. The Adrian Funeral Home is caring for the family.
Sandra Krogman-Spidel was born on Wednesday, February 10, 1943 to Frank and Elizabeth (Lentz) Krogman in Adrian, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith at St. Anthony Catholic Church and graduated from St. Anthony Catholic High School in Lismore.
Sandra was united in marriage to Larry Wieneke on June 21, 1961and to this union three children were born. They made their home in Lismore where Sandra was active with her church and community. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, CCW and Catholic Daughters.
Sandra married Harry Spidel on July 10, 1985 in Duluth and they moved to Worthington. From Worthington, they moved to Paris, TX, Round Lake, Lismore and Mission, TX where she remained the last 10 years until Harry passed away on January 9, 2018. She then moved back to Lismore to be with her daughter and other family. Over the years, Sandra enjoyed gymnastics, playing softball, fishing, camping, collecting antiques, watching sports, especially the Twins and Vikings and spending time with her family and friends.
On Monday, May 13, 2019, Sandra passed away at the Sanford Hospital in Luverne, Minnesota at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 3 days.
She is survived by her children Gloria (Bill) Carlberg of Lismore, Curt (Darla) Wieneke of Windom and Ron (Tina) Wieneke of Evans, CO; step-children Bruce (Lori) Spidel of Worthington and Sue (Salvador) Cortez of Clovis, NM; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; sister Henrietta Lais of Worthington; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Spidel, her parents, siblings Val Dyslin, LeRoy Krogman, Levi Krogman, Gloria June Dodson, Joyce Myers and step-son Michael Spidel.
