Carol Jean White was born May 9, 1962, in Adrian, MN, the daughter of George and Doris Schoneman. She attended school in Adrian until 6th grade at which time her parents bought a farm and moved to Flandreau, SD. She graduated from Flandreau High School in 1980 and attended one year at Rochester Vocational School for Child Development. She then moved to Worthington and worked at Crippled Children’s Home. She met Chuck White in 1986 and they married in 1990.

Other jobs she had included Subway, housekeeping for Holiday Inn Express and Americ Inn.

In the early years of their marriage, Chuck and Carol enjoyed camping and fishing. Carol’s hobbies include planting plants and flowers, putting puzzles together, K’nex, rummaging, and going to the casino on occasion. Carol was an awesome cook and was known for her calico beans and chicken enchiladas. In fact on one occasion she brought something else and not calico beans to a family holiday gathering. Everyone was so disappointed and gave her so much grief that she only brought calico beans after that.

Carol was known for her compassion and kindness. She lived for her family. She was a very forgiving person and her family always came first. Carol was always interested in the lives of extended family. She was a hard worker and made sure everything she did was done well. Carol was also very determined and persistent. If she wanted something bad enough, she would work at it until she succeeded. Carol did not want others worrying about her.
