Rev. Ronald R. Yungmann was a man who always put God and family first. While their children were growing up, Ron and Marge spent much of their time with their children, camping, traveling and getting together with friends and relatives. Lots of memories were made! He taught school a total of 10 years at Gethsemane Lutheran School in Rochester, MI and Peace Lutheran School in Detroit, MI. In the summers he was a carpenter, building campers and other projects. As Pastor of the churches he served, as well as numerous vacancies, he was devoted to and loved by his congregations, “feeding them” the Word of God. Ron served as pastor to churches in Lehr, ND, Munger, MI and Rost County, MN.
Ronald is survived by his four children, Tammy (Roger) Christensen of Big Stone City, SD; Cindy (Carmen) Essig of Lehr, ND; Paul (Kim) Yungmann of Lorraine, Ohio; and Jonathon Yungmann (and friend, Jean Ramirez) of Bigelow, MN; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Ron’s sisters, Carol Warren, Janet Brunette and Rosanna Martz, brothers Mark and David. Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, his parents, his brother, Martin Jr. and sister Marlene, and infant great-granddaughter Lyla Grace Essig.
Private family services will be held a later date.
