Arlene R. Vos-Doeden, age 82, of Round Lake, MN passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Colonial Manor, a caring and loving nursing home in Lakefield, MN. She was born in Tracy, MN to Emma (nee Ennen) and William DeYonge on May 3, 1937.
She married the love of her life Marlyn (Butch) Vos and together they raised five children.
Arlene enjoyed quilting, embroidering towels, planting flowers around her house, feeding the birds, and reading. She will be remembered by her smile and “sassy” ways.
Arlene is survived by her children, Richard Vos of Hills, MN; Vicki (Bryce) Wendling and Valerie (Al) Nickel both of Round Lake, MN; Randy Vos (Calista) of Faribault, MN; daughter-in-law Rhonda Vos of Lake Wilson, MN; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and one sister, Sharon.
She was preceded in death by her husband Butch in 1994, son Ronald, her brothers and both parents.
The family would like to extend their appreciation of the compassionate care provided by Colonial Manor and Sanford Hospice.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Bethel Lutheran Church in Round Lake, MN, with Pastor Virgil Ewoldt officiating. Pall bearers will be Kyle Vos, Trevor Vos, Adam Vos, Matt Hardy, Ricky Vos, and Gary Larson. Burial will be held in the Round Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to Round Lake Fire Department in memory of Arlene and Butch Vos.
