Leo Stugelmeyer, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at his home in Worthington, MN.
Leo was born on March 14, 1936, in rural McLaughlin, SD, the son of John and Evelyn (Hertel) Stugelmeyer. He attended schools in the McLaughlin area. Leo married Bonnie Karg on May 27, 1956, in Litchfield. They lived in Hutchinson where he worked for Mobil Oil Company. In 1958, he started working as a plaster tradesman. In 1959, the family moved to Worthington where he continued in the plaster, drywall, and stucco trade until his retirement. Leo was a member of the American Lutheran Church.
Leo is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Worthington, MN; two sons, Leon (Sandy) Stugelmeyer of New Ulm, MN and Bruce (Lori) Stugelmeyer of Adrian, MN; two daughters, Connie (Jack) Christiansen Sando of Woodbury, MN and Carol (Shawn) Postier of Rochester, MN; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and two sisters, Viola Schlenker of Billings, MT and Ramona Labrensz of Mobridge, SD.
Private family services will be held at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, MN. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.
