Arline A. Ditch, 92, of New Hope, Minnesota, left her earthly life behind on Wednesday, July 29. She was born March 21, 1928, in Lakefield, Minnesota. On February 10, 1948, she married Robert Ditch in Rost Township, Lakefield, Minnesota.
After their marriage, they resided briefly in Worthington, Rost Township, Windom, and Heron Lake before settling in to Okabena. In 1973, the family moved to Menominee, Michigan. Arline and son Tom moved back to Minnesota in 2015.
Arline was very active in Redeemer Lutheran Church Okabena while in Minnesota and Faith Lutheran Church in Marinette Wisconsin. She truly enjoyed people and volunteering for organizations which included The Menominee Women’s Club and Okabena’s American Legion Auxiliary, as well as participating in various bowling leagues, golf leagues and card clubs. Her true passion was spending time with and attending all the gatherings of the various branches of her family. She kept all the announcements, newspaper clippings and photographs in her scrapbook collection. She was always up for adventure and traveled frequently with family or other groups to explore the world.
Survivors include her son, Thomas of New Hope MN; daughter Tamara Heubach (John) of Crystal MN; and daughter Teresa Hassemer of St. Louis Park MN; grandson Tyler Heubach of Plainfield IN; granddaughter Amanda Heubach of St. Louis MO; granddaughter Meg Cole (Nicholas) of St. Paul MN; great-grandchildren Olivia and Amos Cole; brother, Walter Ulbricht of Heron Lake MN; sister, Delores Baumgard (Wayne) of Glendale AZ; and sister-in-law Martha Ulbricht of Lakefield MN.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 31st, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Rost Township, Lakefield, MN. There will be visitation in the church foyer at 1:00 followed by a service graveside at 1:30.
Due to the current health restrictions, a more formal memorial service will be held at a future time.
