Dennis John Haberman

Dennis John Haberman, age 80, was born on November 3, 1942, in Worthington, MN, the son of Lenore (Johnston) and Julius Fred Haberman. He attended Brewster High School and graduated in 1960. Dennis joined the Army Reserves in 1961 and was a part of the supply unit. He was discharged in 1964.

Dennis married Mary Gretchen Schmid on December 28, 1970, in Worthington. They had two sons, John Haberman and Paul Haberman.

Dennis was engaged in farming his entire life until health issues forced him to retire. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brewster, where he served as a trustee, usher, and communion distributor. When his sons were growing up he was involved in 4-H, serving as a 4-H leader and woodworking project leader.

Dennis was a down to earth man, blessed with common sense. After a long illness, he died peacefully at home on Sunday, April 16, 2023, surrounded by the people he loved most, his family.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary Haberman of Brewster, MN; sons, John (Mary) Haberman of Lucan, MN and Paul (Dawn) Haberman of Brewster, MN, and grandsons, Ethan, Kaiden, and Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, MN and one hour prior to service at church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brewster, MN, with Father Pratap Reddy Salibindla officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Brewster, MN.
