Elray D. Blau

Age 66 of Fulda, MN passed away suddenly on March 7, 2023. Elray was born in Sheldon, IA on October 4, 1956 to Frederick and Nancy (Klingenberg) Blau. He grew up in Northwest Iowa and graduated from Harris-Lake Park High School in 1975. In 1975, he moved to Reading, MN with his family where he helped Fred on the farm for many years. On September 18, 1981, he married Julie A. Baumgard of Fulda. Elray and Julie lived in Heron Lake and Fulda before moving to the acreage east of Fulda where they have lived for 35 years. Elray worked for a road construction crew for many years as a truck driver. He retired in 2017. Elray enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing with all his of “toys”, shooting pool, and hanging with family and friends. He loved music, especially Pink Floyd, the louder the better.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Nancy Blau; and sister, Wanda Blau.  He is survived by his wife, Julie; daughters, Jennifer and Lacy Blau; brothers, Al (Julie) Blau and Mark (Jodi) Blau; sisters, Dawn Noerenberg and Janet (Jerry Reyes) Bakker; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  A celebration of life will be held this summer.
