Evelyn, “Evie” Lillian (Kuehl) Froderman, 88 years old, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Dow Rummel Village Assisted Living, Sioux Falls, SD. She was born to Bernhard and Vauna (Curtiss) Kuehl at home in the Village of Brewster, MN, on September 6, 1934. She attended school in the Village of Brewster, MN.

Evie’s mom, Vauna, died when she was only 5 years old, so her older sisters helped raise her. At the age of 17, Evie moved to Billings, MT, to live with her sister (Florence) and worked as a telephone operator. She then moved back to Minnesota and met the love of her life, Arnold Froderman, at the Sioux Valley Log Cabin dance hall, Sioux Valley, MN. They were married April 30, 1954 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Round Lake, MN, where she remained a member until the time of her death. She has two daughters, Barbara (Froderman) Koster, and Kandis (Froderman) Feltman.

Evie began to work the night shift at Campbell’s Soup Company, Worthington, MN in 1959. She retired from Campbell’s in 1969. She also worked alongside her husband when they began farming the Iowa Lake farm, Jackson County, MN, in 1960. In 1973, Evie and her husband purchased a farm East of Round Lake, MN, and continued to farm until they retired in 1992. After retirement, Evie and her husband worked for Dirks and Sliver Auction Company and Prins and Sliver Auction Company, Worthington, MN. In June, 2010, she moved with her husband into a house in Worthington, MN. After her husband’s death, Evie moved to Stoneybrooke Suites Assisted Living, Sioux Falls, SD, to be closer to one of her daughters. Later she resided at Dow Rummel Village Assisted Living where she passed away under the care of Aseracare Hospice Care. Aseracare planted a registered tree in a national forest in memory of our loved one.

Evie enjoyed dancing, making hand painted quilts for her family, and collecting antiques. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandchildren. They were her absolute joy in life.

Grateful for having shared her life are; two daughters, Barb (Bruce) Koster, Lakefield, MN, and Kandis (Michael) Feltman, Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren, Micca Koster, Lakefield, MN, Dustin (Marie) Koster, Marshall, MN, Ashley (Collin) Donley, Sioux Falls, SD, Kristine (Steve) Chrisopulos, Sioux Falls, SD, and Brandon (Erin) Feltman, Sioux Falls, SD; nine great-grandchildren; Alex and Ethan Koster, Lakefield, MN, Braxton, Jaylen and Harrison Koster, Marshall, MN, Riley and Mallory Chrisopulos, Sioux Falls, SD, and Natalie and Lydia Feltman, Sioux Falls, SD; one brother, Alvin (Connie) Kuehl, Worthington, MN and one sister, Harriet Thorson, Sleepy Eye, MN., and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Evie’s wishes are to have a private graveside service at the Round Lake Cemetery. The private service is May 6, 2023, 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Dale Hedstrom officiating. In honor of Evie’s life, the family is hosting a memorial luncheon, May 6, 2023, 12:30 p.m., at the Round Lake Legion.
