Melvin Bennett Camery

Melvin Bennett Camery passed away in his home on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at 101 years young. He was born on Wednesday November 23, 1921, to his parents Bennett and Frieda Camery. When Melvin was 7 years old, his parents moved him and his sister Dorothy out to the family farm, where he has resided ever since. He met his wife Ruby Madelene Thomas in Round Lake, Minnesota, and they were married in June of 1963. She had 3 children of her own that they raised, and a few more special ones along the way. He spent his working years farming and raising cattle. After retirement, keeping up with the farm, gardening, and anything that was not age appropriate for him, he enjoyed doing :) They shared their home and love with many people in their lifetime together.

Melvin is survived by his wife Ruby; his granddaughter Naomi; his great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Caelan, Skye and his family - Jordan, Taedan and Elouise and Amber and her family - Dylon, Raynah, and Dexter. He was preceded in death by his father Bennett, his mother Frieda, and his sister Dorothy. He will carry on through the love that he never had to go a day without.

A private family service will be held at Benson Funeral Home at a later date. Burial will be in the Round Lake Cemetery.
