Robert Zonnefeld age 89, of Sibley died Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Sanford Sheldon Senior Care in Sheldon, IA.

A funeral service was held 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 27th, at the Christian Reformed Church in Sibley, IA with Pastor Ben Wiersma, officiating. Burial will was held in the Roseland Cemetery at Sanborn, IA. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Gordon (Connie) Zonnefeld of Sheldon, IA and their children: Carrie (Carl) Van Stryland of Sioux Falls, SD, Kevin (Cassie) Zonnefeld of Minneapolis, MN; daughter, Norma (David) Schutte of Rushmore, MN and their children: Rebecca (Tim) Wellenstein of Centerville, SD, Laura (Andrew) Larson of Rushmore, MN, and Mark (Sydney) Schutte of Rushmore, MN; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Bosma of Shawano WI, and one brother, Garry (Delores) Zonnefeld of Sioux Center IA; Esther’s family members, Jeane Van Veldhuizen and Harriet Van Veldhuizen of Sanborn IA, and Marilynn (Dale) De Boer of Sibley, IA; along with many extended family.
