Robert Dale Obermann

Robert Dale Obermann, longtime resident of Worthington, MN, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was 93 years old.

Robert was a United States Navy Veteran and served his country honorably. He worked for Southwest Wholesale Company as a Sales Executive until his retirement at the age of 62. He was well known in Worthington having lived there his entire life, especially on the golf course.

Robert was an avid golfer and on his 90th birthday he was playing 18 holes of golf. His other hobbies were building and flying radio controlled airplanes, riding motorcycles with his wife Betty, boating, fishing, and hunting.

Robert’s wife, Betty (Elizabeth) Obermann passed away in 2010. Also preceding him in death were his parents, Orrie and Lilian and his brothers and sisters, Sandy, Mabel, Mary, and Jerry.

Robert is survived by sons, Bruce Obermann and his wife Carol and their son Richard, and Brian Obermann along with his two sons, Aron and Adam and their three children.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m., at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN.

Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
