William Leo Haberman

William Leo Haberman passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021, at his home near Brewster, MN.

William (Bill) Haberman was born to Ferdinand & Stella on August 15, 1934. He was the 1st baby that day for Ferdinand & Stella as his twin Robert (Bob) was born shortly thereafter.

Bill married Carole Ann Stamp on August 3, 1957, and raised 5 children on a farm in Brewster, MN. Mary (Dan) Huls of Worthington, MN, Larry Haberman of Brewster, MN, Rick (Kimberly) Haberman of La Crosse, WI, and Melissa (Stephen) Voegel of Farmington, MN. Carole and Bill had 12 grandchildren, Brandon (Karole), Brittany (Mark), Erin (Drew), Jenna, Tim (Beth), Alisha (Dan), Ethan (Chloe), Adam, Kaitlyn, Laura, Allison, and Matthew and 12 great grandchildren, Melonie, Morgan, Benjamin, Alexander, Logan, Madison, Charlie, Daxton, Emery, Myles, Harper, and Declan.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Dennis and Mark; grandson, Jacob; brothers, Jack and Jim; twin brother, Bob, and sister, Mary.

Bill farmed his whole life and he even helped with this year’s harvest which was one of the best in 65 years. Bill loved to golf; he was a fixture at the Lakefield golf course for many years. He even had 3 hole-in-ones during his golf career and played men’s league every year. Bill loved Notre Dame! He would cheer on the football team every year. Bill, Bob and sons attended Notre Dame Football games for their 60th and 65th birthdays. Bill loved to play cards; he played many games of Cribbage and 500 with his children and grandchildren. Everyone in the family had to learn how to play cards.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brewster, MN, with Father Fauschnact officiating. Burial will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Brewster. Luncheon will be held following burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
