On King Turkey Day weekend, the WHS Class of ’73 gathered together for our 40th class reunion.
On Friday morning, a few classmates enjoyed a round of golf at Prairie View Golf Links. It was a perfect day for golf, allowing no excuses for a “bad” shot due to the strong southwest Minnesota winds.
Friday afternoon, we enjoyed a tour of WHS. Thank you, Tom Ahlberg, for walking us down “Memory Lane.” As we walked down “Senior Hall,” the memories started flowing. We were assured they still serve “School Chili” and fresh bread.
After the tour, we headed out to the Worthington Event Center. It was a great place to have our reunion. The staff that evening was so kind and helpful, as they were always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. Good job!
On Saturday morning, we were able to cheer on some of our classmates as they ran the 10K. Pretty impressive! Saturday afternoon, we climbed onto a hayrack for the KTD parade. Thank you, Ben and Will Krohn, for hauling us down the main drag. Our classmate, Mike Patrick, was able to join us thanks to Mick and Terry Eggers. They came with their loader and got Mike on and off the hayrack.
Our classmates from Minnesota, Iowa, Idaho, Colorado, California, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Oregon and Florida certainly experienced Minnesota nice. Thank you all.
