WORTHINGTON - At least 6,200 children die every day from hunger-related causes. Feed My Starving Children is a volunteer-driven organization feeding children all over the world. The people at Feed My Starving Children strive to follow Christ's calling to feed the hungry and serve the needy in all that they do.  The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals designed especially for starving children and FMSC ships the meals to nearly 70 countries around the world.

Volunteers enable Feed My Starving Children to do what it does. Volunteers pack all the meals, and their donations pay for them. There are no free ingredients or government aid. It takes both packing and donating to feed hungry kids!

At Worthington Christian School, we are teaming up with this life-changing organization to demonstrate God's love. To help reward the students for their efforts and generosity, they will earn awards based on achieving specific levels of donations. Gifts of $200 earn them an all-school pizza party, $400 gets them soda with their pizza, $600 means dessert, $800 an extended recess and $1000 a “movie afternoon.” Some kids have already emptied their piggy banks, ready to donate all of their personal money to this worthy cause!

The Mobile Pack in Worthington will take place in March. WCS is looking forward to have some of its students assist with this hands-on effort in our community. The mission of WCS is to educate children in the light of God's Word and to prepare them for a life of service to God, to his creation and to their community.
