By Teresa Widboom, Worthington Christian School Promotions Committee
WORTHINGTON — Did you know Worthington Christian School has surpassed its 70th year of excellence in education in our community? Have you ever wondered what happens behind the doors at Worthington Christian School? Would you be willing to walk through those doors to see for yourself?
Worthington Christian School, at 1770 Eleanor St., will host an open house event this week, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Parents and prospective students are encouraged to spend time in a relaxed playful setting, have their questions answered and even take a tour of the school. There will be a brief informational meeting at 5:45 p.m. for parents of potential incoming kindergarteners. Soon-to-be graduating students will also reflect on their experiences at WCS.
A variety of unique opportunities await at WCS, including:
- K-8 Christ-centered education
- prayer in the classroom
- Friday morning chapel
- small class sizes
- community service projects for all ages
- team sports, band and choir
- well established school-wide fundraisers allowing for low tuition costs
WCS is a non-denominational school representing more than 10 churches in our community. Teachers strive to give students the tools to be great thinkers who love God and are devoted to the truth of His word. As such, a biblical worldview is incorporated throughout curricula.
