Klobuchar's staff to host "Supporting Our Seniors" forum today

LUVERNE -- Staff from U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar's office will be in Luverne from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. today as part of a two-day "Supporting Our Seniors" staff tour across southern Minnesota. The forum will be at the Rock County Community Library, 201 W.

LUVERNE - Staff from U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s office will be in Luverne from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. today as part of a two-day “Supporting Our Seniors” staff tour across southern Minnesota. The forum will be at the Rock County Community Library, 201 W. Main St., Luverne.
The visit will highlight resources available to assist seniors with health and financial needs. Also discussed will be new fraud schemes that target seniors and steps they can take to protect themselves and their financial security. Klobuchar has introduced bipartisan provisions to protect seniors from fraud, as well as to strengthen screening and oversight of court-appointed guardians.
Klobuchar’s staff will be joined by the Minnesota Area Agencies on Aging, the AARP and other local health officials. The forum is free and open to the public.
