In a recent letter to the editor, we were encouraged to worry because of the scientific evidence for global warming.
Twenty-five years ago, the scientific community told us that there was scientific proof that Earth was headed for a global ice age. Which one should we believe -- the "scientific fact" of global warming or the "scientific fact" of global cooling?
There seems to be a coalition between global warmists and evolutionists. The scientific method in evolution has proved hoax after hoax. It takes more faith to believe in global warming and evolution than in solar cycles and intelligent design. Seeking true science as one's goal should not be called insidious and self-serving.
There have always been variations in Earth's temperatures known as solar cycles. Scientists were having a hard time blaming global warming on mankind, so they switched to the global warming theme. Now, we are all at fault.
The letter writer mentioned above says he never heard an explosion of an atom bomb deemed an "act of God." In the Bible, I Kings 18:38 tells us that God sent down fire that burned up wood, stones, soil and water. The residue remaining from this event tests similar to that of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The letter writer also advises us to dig a hole in the stand and bury our head in it. It would be hard to find a sandy spot; the ground is covered with snow in almost mid-April (global warming?). I would advise against doing it, anyway. There is no point in people on both sides of this issue having their heads in the sand.
