Letter: Country Kitchen will be missed

To the community Country Kitchen was just another restaurant, but to the day-shift employees it was so much more. The Sunday night phone calls were a surprise to us all. To be told we no longer had a job was quite a shock.

To the community Country Kitchen was just another restaurant, but to the day-shift employees it was so much more. The Sunday night phone calls were a surprise to us all. To be told we no longer had a job was quite a shock.

From our regular breakfast bunch, to our daily lunch customers, we want to express our gratitude for your loyalty. The community lost a place to dine and hang out, but we feel like we lost a part of our family. Whether you sat in the booth behind the cash register, were part of the 6:30 a.m. coffee guys or faithful round-table lunch bunch, we will miss you all.

There are many more we could list, but we think you know who you are and what you meant to us. If there's anyone out there who wants to open a restaurant, we know some good employees!

With sincere sadness,

Stacey Rutzen, Margie Riemersma, Sally Allen, Elaine Walker and Roxann Rients Former Country Kitchen staff
