Round-Up: "To gather together!" Wow, what an exciting way to start our incoming kindergartners into a new experience.
Prairie Elementary will be holding this year's Kindergarten Round-Up on Monday, March 23. In order to accommodate parents' schedules, we will have three sessions. Please feel free to select the one that works best for you. Two sessions will be in the afternoon from 1:30-3 and 3:30-5, and an evening session will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
If you are in need of transportation, please call Head Start at 376-4195. They will assist you in getting to the session that works best with your schedule.
We encourage you to bring your future kindergarten student with you to Round Up. Activities are planned to help familiarize your child with the school and a bus ride. Upon completion your child will receive a "Goodie Bag" containing items that have been donated from Head Start and ISD 518.
The sessions will have a bead activity furnished by Head Start, story time and a sing-a-long for children, as well as an informational meeting for the parents. Items that will be covered are: registration of student, general information, program information, Special Education information, health information, busing rules and a tour of the school.
