There has been a lot of talk about Turkey Day and where it should be held.
We, as what you call the older generation, would also like to be involved with the festivities. A lot us can’t go out to the fairgrounds, as it is rough terrain and long walks to where the action is. We would like to see it brought back downtown for all to enjoy.
We all brought our children, and are now bringing our grandchildren and great-grandchildren, up for the parade. But then, when the parade is over, there are no rides, flea markets, food vendors or any of the fun things Turkey Day used to have.
Please consider the whole surrounding community when planning next year’s Turkey Day.
