The 2016 legislative session will last 10 weeks this session, and because of this, dozens of people from across southwestern Minnesota have already traveled to St. Paul to make their voices heard.
Over the past week I’ve met with farmers, children’s advocates and local officials, to name just a few. These folks educate me on the issues important to them, and their engagement in the political process is truly a blessing.
For example, as part of National Ag Day on March 15, dozens of residents affiliated with agriculture or commodity groups stopped by my office to encourage my continued support for those who help maintain the nation’s food supply.
I really appreciate people taking time out of their busy lives to drive to St. Paul and advocate for their priorities. Their input is necessary and always welcomed.
If you would like to meet with me in St. Paul this session, I strongly encourage you to call my office and set up an appointment. I can be reached at (651) 296-5373.
