First of all, thank you for the very well done front-page article in your Jan. 14 issue relating to the Jasper school building.
However, there is one point made in the write-up that caught me off guard. “There may not be a grocery store now, but ... if plans fall into place for the school building, a grocery store may just be lured to town.”
I have lived in the Jasper community my entire adult life and have always bought my groceries locally. I find it strange that nobody has ever pointed out to me that the business place where I buy these groceries is not a grocery store.
I am very grateful for the fact that, thanks to Dennis and Jennifer Evans, Jasper continues to have a grocery store. Many communities our size are not as fortunate.
