Those who argue “separation of church and state” are being hypocritical on the same-sex marriage issue.
Before civil government became involved in marriage licenses, marriage has occurred from the beginning of time. The institution of marriage was initiated by God as recorded in the book of Genesis. All through the Scriptures marriage is spoken about.
Why have the proponents of same-sex marriage run to the courts to settle this issue? Why should the government have any involvement in church related institutions if they believe in “separation of church and state?”
