Do these people in the Legislature always have to cater to a handful of people pushing expansion of the Casey Jones State Trail?
It is bad policy that Joe Schomacker and Rod Hamilton would support such legislation. The state does not have $1.25 million, much less $10 extra, to spend on something as worthless as this. All this would be is an infringement on individuals’ private property rights while costing all of us money to build and maintain. If the state had $1.25 million of extra money, return it to the people.
If legislators don’t want to do that, they should then spend it on cleaning up the drug problem in this state or have towns be liable for the waste they generate - and find a way to use cogeneration and produce electricity instead of towns hauling it out to the country and thinking that they are doing something good.
We need representation and common sense, two items that are virtually extinct in society today.
