Last week, the Friends of the Auditorium were contacted in regards to items that might be of use to Memorial Auditorium. When we arrived at the site of the items, it was the Northland Mall building. We were told that the developer of the mall had found these items that were left in the mall and we were welcome to have whatever we’d like.
It was a wonderful gesture of giving to an organization that would use the items to benefit a building used by the community. We are so grateful to the developer for giving us many items that will be used by everyone as props and set pieces for future performances at Memorial Auditorium.
The redevelopment of the Northland Mall site will be a great asset to the Worthington community. It is wonderful to see that the person chosen to develop this project is someone who is generous and wants to give back to the betterment of Worthington.
There were other area organizations that also benefited by receiving items in the mall building. These included: Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce, King Turkey Day Committee, Worthington Optimist Club, the Hospice Cottage, area churches and Pioneer Village.
We would like to express our gratitude to Brian Pellowski of PBK Investment Inc. for his generosity.
