I want to take a minute to thank the communities of Worthington and Brewster for all the love and support you have showed us.

Naturally, losing a brother like Matt is a time of great sadness for us all. However, it is also a time of extraordinary gratitude. We want you to know just how grateful we are let you know how it helped us tremendously in trying to come to grips with our tragic loss knowing how much Matt and his family is loved by everyone.

I would like to express a special thank you to the Worthington Hockey Association, Brewster Volunteer Fire Department and Pastor Zaske. Your generosity and support during this difficult time were greatly appreciated. Thank you to all those who attended the services, all of the lovely flowers that were sent and all of the kind words everyone shared. Matt would have been deeply moved and somewhat embarrassed.

It has been remarkable for us to hear how much Matt made a difference in your lives, and how much he was admired and respected. Matt will live on through the stories we remember and share. Matt was an enormously loving and caring husband, father, brother, son and friend, and we are all lucky to have our memories. He will be with us forever.
