Letter: Exchange student travels to Florida
"We also visited a German restaurant. I think that was the best meal I have eaten in a long time and it was so great to have a taste of home!"
It’s me, Anica Bös, Crailsheim student representative. A lot happened this month and I am happy to tell you about it!
The most important thing that happened this month is that we found out who will be the next exchange student from Worthington to go to Crailsheim. I am so excited for her to have this wonderful opportunity.
The best thing I was able to experience this month was that my host family, the Thiers, took me with them on their family vacation to Florida and I couldn’t be more grateful for that. We drove there with a truck, so we had to sit in the car for quite a while. All week we saw and experienced new things. We went to Epcot for one day.
We also visited a German restaurant. I think that was the best meal I have eaten in a long time and it was so great to have a taste of home! There I also had the chance to speak German with a few people. We also went to Disney World. That was amazing. We also spent some days by the pool which was a lot of fun.
At school, we will also start a new quarter. Unfortunately, this is also my last, which means that I only have a few weeks left of school. The time has gone so fast!
I have started with track and field. I am not quite sure what to think of this yet as I have never really run and I can’t really stand to run for long. I hope this gets a little bit better as the season goes.
Right now is a slower time for me since hockey season is over and we have had a lot of snow days. I hope that will change soon and spring will be here with warmer weather.
Now I am looking forward to seeing my sister and father as they are coming to visit me in two weeks. I also am planning to go to another wedding soon.
Many thanks to everyone who supports the Worthington-Crailsheim student exchange program!
