Monday prep sports roundup: Pipestone Area turns back Fulda in volleyball
Monday night high school sports roundup:
FULDA -- The Fulda crowd was unable to get underneath Pipestone Area's skin, as the Arrows won in three by scores of 25-11, 25-22, and 25-12 in Monday night high school volleyball action.
The Arrows’ leading servers were seniors Mandi Miller and Mallary Remund who both went 10-of-10 from the service line.
Mara Taubert paced the Arrows with digs, finishing with 17, with Miller not far behind with 15.
Isabel Baartman led the Arrows in kills with eight, and Kayli Borman had a game-high 25 set assists.

CANBY -- Host Canby took Murray County Central in three games, 25-21, 25-19 and 25-22.
Montana Beckmann and Alyssa Groves both had six kills for MCC. Laney Brown had 19 digs.Sibley-Ocheyedan Invitational
SIBLEY, Iowa -- Despite early struggles against Adrian (12-21, 6-21), and Clay Central-Everly (19-21, 15-21), Ellsworth was able to overcome the hometown team of Sibley-Ocheyedan 21-17, 21-17 to garner one victory in the Sibley-Ocheyedan Invitational.JCC 3, St. James 0
ST. JAMES -- Sadie Voss was on fire for Jackson County Central, going 16-of-18 from the service line, with 7 ace serves, 10 kills, 6 digs, and 1 block as she led the Huskies to victory over St. James by scores 25-8, 25-21, and 25-14.
Aliana Wolff had an impactful game for the Huskies, going 11-of-13 with 3 aces, a team-high 12 digs, and 11 kills.
Alice DiRenzo and Kendall Kapplinger both finished with five kills.Windom 3, HL-O 0
WINDOM -- Windom Area was able to beat Heron Lake-Okabena by scores of 25-8, 25-16, and 25-11.
The Eagles were led by Maurissa Isaacs in kills with 10, and Katelyn Nichols with 9 kills.
Becca Hacker was an all-around star for Windom, going 26-of-27 from the service line, with 9 aces, 20 set assists, 6 digs, and 3 blocks.
Hailey Leopold played well for the Wildcats. Anna Volk and Samantha Freking both were able to connect on well hit serves from the service line for HL-O.GIRLS TENNISBEA 6, Luverne 1
LUVERNE -- Blue Earth Area came in midseason form as it traveled to Luverne.
The Cardinals’ one doubles tandem of Elise Jarchow and Roz Oye took its match in three sets (6-7, 6-2, and 6-1) to avoid the sweep.
The Buccaneers took every other match with Tea Armstrong taking one singles (6-4, 6-3), Arika Howard dominating two singles (6-0, 6-0), Macie Stevermer at three singles (6-2, 6-2), and McKenna Dutton at four singles (6-2, 6-3). The duo of Britt Howard and Cali Beyer won two doubles (6-3, 6-3), and at three doublse Maddie McClearly, and Lyndsey Borris won (6-2, 6-4).
