WESTBROOK -- Bethany Byers scored a game-high 15 points and had nine rebounds for Westbrook-Walnut Grove as it snuck by Red Rock Conference opponent Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda.

Alli Vande Kieft scored 14 points for the Chargers, Grace Woelber scored 11, and Brittany Erickson scored 10.

McKenzie Evers led the Coyotes in scoring with 14 points. Evers also had seven rebounds, four steals, and five assists.  Chrissy Hermeling had 13 points, and Morgan Gehl had nine points for HL-O/F.

SLAYTON -- Taylor Naas led Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey in scoring with 19 points as it earned a victory over Murray County Central.

Margo Stoesz had a double-double for the Wolverines scoring 16 points, posting 11 rebounds, and accumulating six assists.

Ines Rios Ross scored a team high 14 points for the Rebels to go with 11 rebounds and four steals, while teammate Shelby Christensen had 11 points.

ADRIAN -- Adrian won a tightly contested match against Red Rock Conference opponent Ellsworth.

Bailey Lonneman had a double-double for Adrian scoring 12, and posting 11 rebounds. Jayden Zebe added 10 points, while Moriah Bullerman and McKinley Nelson added six points each.

Leading the Panthers in scoring was Kallie Chapa with 13 points, Lizzie Chapa with 11 points, and Brooke Custer with 11 points. Kallie Chapa had 9 rebounds, and four assists as well.

SWC 72, Luverne 65

EDGERTON -- Jazlynn Prins went off, scoring 29 points for Southwest Christian as it fended off a traveling Luverne team.

Hannah Nerem added 14 points for the Eagles and Hallie Snyder added eight points.

Mallory Thorson led the Cardinals in scoring with 26 points, Gabi Ferrell had 12 points, and  Mackenzie Peters had nine points.

GRANADA -- Andrew Hesebeck scored a game-high 17 points for Jackson County Central in its victory against Truman/Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain.

Rudy Voss scored 14 for the Huskies, Jordan Hassing scored 13, Brad Buhl scored nine, and Jack Brinkman scored seven.

Adam Heckman led TML GHEC in scoring with 12, and Isaac Johnson added 10 points.

WRESTLINGAdrian at Tri Valley

HARTFORD, S.D. -- Adrian lost to Canton, S.D., 48-27 and beat Tri Valley 55-18.

Bryan Anaya (106), Rilee Heidebrink (120), Logan Taylor (126), Logan Sherer (152), Cameron Wieneke (182), Jaren Winselman (220) and Scot Edwards (285) won for the Dragons against Tri Valley. Anaya, Taylor, Wieneke, Winselman and Edwards recorded pins.

Against Canton, Ayala won by 7-3 decision. Sherer (152) and Preston Nelson (160) won by falls.

BOYS HOCKEYLuverne 8, Redwood Valley 2

REDWOOD FALLS -- Gaige Nath, Colby Crabtree and Ben Serie each scored a pair of goals as Luverne romped past Redwood Valley after a slow first-period start.

Redwood Valley scored the game’s first goal three and a half minutes into the game on a power play. The hosts led 2-1 heading into the second period.

But Luverne outscored Redwood 7-0 in the next two periods.

Mark Sterrett and Mason Steensma scored Luverne’s other two goals. The winners out-shot Redwood Valley 36-25 in the game.
