Adrian 3, MCC 0

SLAYTON -- There wasn’t much the Adrian High School volleyball squad could do wrong Tuesday night in a match against Murray County Central. The Dragons prevailed in three straight on scores of 25-11, 25-8 and 25-16.

Kasie Tweet had 30 set assists and 12 digs. Mayssa Tweet had 16 digs and was 8-for-8 serving. Shawna Rogers led the team with nine kills while Marissa Lehnhoff and Bailey Lonneman both had eight. Brianna Reckamp and Kendra Frogerman both had five.

Reckamp was 22-for-22 serving with two aces. Jennifer Press and Reckamp had eight and six digs, respectively.

MCC got five kills from Shelby Christensen and four from Bryn Hoekman, who also had five blocks. Brianna Schmitz added 12 digs while Christensen had 11 and Kylie Frisk 10.

COMFREY -- Margo Stoesz played a strong all-around game, excelling in hitting and digging, and the Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey drilled Westbrook-Walnut Grove in three games, 25-20, 25-19, 28-26.

Westbrook-Walnut Grove got some good serving from Halle Steen, Emma Wahl and Kelly Berglund. Steen was 13-for-13 with three aces, Wahl was 13-for-13 with two aces, and Bergland was 14-for-15 with one ace.

Alli Vandekieft had six kills and Steen had three solo blocks. Wahl had 20 digs and Steen had 17 set assists.

PA 3, HL-O/F 0

FULDA -- Pipestone Area swept host Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda on scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-23. The loss evened HL-O/Fulda’s record at 13-13.

Hailey Liepold had 14 kills and Meakin Bang added seven. Grace Kilian had 32 digs and Marissa Becker had 17.

In serving, Kilian was 14-for-14 with one ace and Chrissy Hermeling was 13-for-13 with one ace. Ellyson Bang had 26 set assists, Liepold had five blocks and Becker had three blocks.

RRC 3, Ellsworth 0

LAMBERTON -- Karli Arkell had 14 kills, 12 digs and six blocks to lead Red Rock Central to a sweep of Ellsworth.

Nicole Schroepfer added nine kills and 16 set assists for the Falcons.

Nora Hemmingsen was perfect at the service line for 14 points. She also added 14 set assists.

Bianca Weis led RRC with 29 digs. She was also flawless at the service line for 11 points.
