WORTHINGTON -- The Minnesota West Lady Jays split a doubleheader with visiting St. Cloud Tech on Saturday, the Jays winning the first game 4-3 and St. Cloud winning the second game 12-0 in five innings.

Alanna Goetzinger struck out 13 St. Cloud Tech batters in the first game, checking them on four hits, in a seven-inning performance. Emily Wilke went 3-for-3 at the plate for the Lady Jays, with an RBI. Teammate Bri Ihnen, who had one hit, also drive in a run.

In the second game, errors hurt West. Starting pitcher Steph Kazemba pitched well, but the Jays committed five errors behind her. Only one of the 12 runs she allowed were earned.

Ihnen was 2-for-2 with the bat. Goetzinger and Natasha Diaz had single hits.
