WINDOM -- The Windom Area Eagles' Dylan Serreyn won four events, Eagle Delaney Smith broke her own school record in the shot put while also winning the girls discus, and Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda's Morgan Gehl won the girls 800-meter and 1,600-meter races Monday in a high school track and field meet in Windom.
Serreyn won the boys 400-meter run in 57.36, the high jump with a leap of 5-10, the long jump in 18-5, and the triple jump in 38-11.
Smith threw the shot 45 feet and one-half inch, breaking her own school record which she had already broken earlier this season. Her throw in the discus was 115-10.
Gehl won the 1,600 meters in 5:08.04 and the 800 meters in 2:25.27.
There were four teams in the meet. The Windom Area boys scored 109 points to capture a team victory, with HL-O/F (59), Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey (50) and Adrian/Ellsworth (40) trailing. Windom Area also won the girls competition with 100.5 points, followed by MLA/C with 49.5, HL-O/F 78 and Adrian/Ellsworth 35.
