The sixth seed in the south, Adrian/Ellsworth, remained undefeated in the Section 3A high school baseball tournament on Tuesday with a 7-1 victory over Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove. And in the Section 3AA tournament, the south's No. 1 seed, Luverne, rolled on with an 8-4 win over second-seeded Fairmont.
Adrian/Ellsworth pitchers Quinten Wolf (4.1 innings) and Andy Rahe (2.2 innings) combined to check RRC/WWG on seven hits in the third round of the double-elimination tournament. Marshall Wagner had two hits and scored a run, Dawson Krahling tripled and drove in a run, and Wolf doubled and drove in two.
Meanwhile, Luverne -- which beat Fairmont 3-2 in the regular season -- advanced to 20-3 with its victory.
In a north third-round Section 3A game on Tuesday, MACCRAY defeated Yellow Medicine East 10-0 in six innings. In a pair of losers bracket games, Lac qui Parle Valley beat Renville County West 5-1 and Wabasso trimmed Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 6-1.
In games Thursday, LQPV will play RRC/WWG at 5 p.m. in Milroy, and YME will play Wabasso at 7 p.m. in Milroy.

On Saturday, MACCRAY and Adrian/Ellsworth will square off at noon in the winner's bracket. MACCRAY is the No. 1 seed in the north.
In other Tuesday Section 3AA action, ACGC beat Minnewaska 2-1 in a north winner's bracket game. In losers bracket games, Paynesville beat Benson 5-0 and Pipestone Area beat Jackson County Central 10-1.
On Thursday, Paynesville plays Fairmont at 5 p.m. in Marshall, and Pipestone Area plays Minnewaska at 7 p.m. in Marshall.
On Saturday, the two No. 1 seeds take each other on. It's ACGC versus Luverne at noon in Marshall.
In Section 2A, Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda was beaten 15-2 Tuesday by top-seeded BOLD. The Coyotes play Sleepy Eye Thursday at Sleepy Eye in the loser's bracket.
In Section 2AAA, the eighth-seeded Worthington Trojans open today (Wednesday) against top-seeded Mankato West in Mankato.
