LUVERNE -- Rob Petersen and Mike Wenninger combined to keep a potent Luverne offense at bay as the Southwest Barnstormers defeated the Redbirds 3-2 in an amateur baseball game Sunday afternoon.
Petersen allowed no runs on four hits in five innings to earn the victory.
Wenninger earned the save, allowing two runs on two hits in two innings.
At the plate, Micky Sehr was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Sam Baumgartner was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Wenninger helped his own cause with a double for the Barnstormers (2-0).
Landon Gacke suffered the loss for Luverne. He allowed three runs on five hits in seven innings.

Tim Connell was 2-for-3, while Brent Dinger was 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Redbirds.
Zack Clark and Phil Paquette each had a triple for Luverne.
The Barnstormers will travel to St. Peter on Sunday. They will play both St. Peter and Edina.

MARSHALL -- Heron Lake took a 5-1 lead entering the bottom of the fourth inning, but a 10-run frame sent the Milroy Irish to a seven-run victory.

Tom Albricht was 2-for-5 for the Lakers (3-6), including a solo home run in the fourth and a RBI double in the ninth.
Ike Roger, Chad Knutson (run), Kirk McBreen (RBI), Matt Franks (run), Lon Eichenberger (run) and Eric Milbrath each had a base hit.
Tyler Goedtke was 1-for-2 with a pair of RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base for the Lakers, who will travel to Wilmont on Wednesday.

HADLEY -- Jay Scheidt scored the first run of the game, and the last one as Wilmont edged Hadley.

Scheidt led off the game with a solo home run, and after being hit by a pitch in the eighth inning, scored the game-winning run on a Justin Saufley RBI double.
Scheidt scored three times in the game, while Saufley earned the win on the hill. He allowed six runs on eight hits while walking five and striking out 13 in eight innings.
Jerrad Meinders and Nate Stoll were each 3-for-4 for Wilmont.
Pat O'Brien suffered the loss for Hadley. He allowed five earned runs on 11 hits while walking three and striking out six in eight innings. He was also 2-for-3 with an RBI and a double in the game.
James Wajer was 1-for-3 with an RBI double, while Zach Bruns was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

HADLEY -- The Marshall A's scored six runs in the first inning en route to a 12-run victory.
Pat O'Brien was 2-for-2 with a run scored and a pair of RBIs.
Zach Bruns was 1-for-2 with a run, while Joe Larson was 1-for-3 with a run. Tyler Juhl drove in a run for the Buttermakers (3-6, 3-4).
Hadley will travel to Pipestone on Wednesday.

ADRIAN -- Jeff Gacke threw a complete-game two-hitter as the A's defeated Fox Lake.
Gacke struck out six and didn't walk a batter in nine innings.
At the plate, he had a single, while Matt Gades was 2-for-4.
Jordon Kontz had an RBI single, while Joe Kruger and Levi Bullerman each had a single for Adrian (7-5).
The A's will host Luverne on Wednesday.

TRACY -- Kody Johnson earned a save and had three hits on the day as Windom defeated Tracy on Sunday.
Johnson threw the final two outs of the game and earned two strikeouts. He also scored two runs.
Mark Hockel had two hits, including a double, for the Pirates (4-4).
Charlie Dunnink started on the hill and earned the win.
He allowed five runs while walking six and striking out two in 6 1-3 innings.
Windom will host Milroy on Wednesday.
