Amateur baseball: Lakefield nips Worthington 3-1

WORTHINGTON -- Dustin Pronk hurled seven solid innings and Bryce Christopher came on for the save to lead Lakefield to a 3-1 victory over Worthington in amateur baseball action Wednesday at the local field.

Andrew Hesse had two hits for Lakefield and Pronk hit a two-run double in the third inning.

Tucker Sorenson drove in a run for the Cubs. Teammates Ryan Swanson and Nathan Russell both hit doubles.

Adam Munkel pitched five innings and Justin Saufley pitched four for Worthington (0-2). Munkel walked five and struck out five.
