HADLEY -- Zach Bruns drilled a three-run homer, and Luke Schneider struck out eight batters to carry Hadley to a 6-3 victory over a pesky Milroy squad Sunday in an amateur baseball matchup that lasted seven innings.
Bruns's shot came in the second inning, and put Hadley ahead 4-0.
Milroy climbed back into the game when Ryan Sanow (2-for-3) hit a solo home run in the fourth inning, and Isaac Dolan went deep to bring in two more runs in the fifth.
But Pat O'Brien came on late to earn the save for the Buttermakers (7-9), striking out three of the four batters he faced.
Schneider gave up three runs on six hits and walked two over 5 2-3 innings.

LUVERNE -- Phil Paquette's bat and Andrew DeBoer's arm lifted Luverne to a win against Adrian.
Paquette went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and a three-run homer, while DeBoer gave up four runs on nine hits, walked three batters and fanned six through seven innings of work.
Zach Olson was 3-for-5 with an RBI-double, Zach Clark (3-for-4) laced a double and Brent Dinger (3-for-4) knocked in two runs for Luverne.
For Adrian (10-7), Jason Stubbe went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

HERON LAKE -- Heron Lake's Matt Franks scattered 10 hits and mowed down eight batters for a complete-game victory against Fox Lake in a First Nite league contest.
Franks only allowed one earned run and walked two on the night.
Ike Rogers had a pair or RBI's for HL (6-8, 5-8) -- one on a base hit and another on a sacrifice fly.
The Lakers host Tracy on Sunday.

MOUNTAIN LAKE -- The Leopolds launched Heron Lake to a win over Mountain Lake on Saturday.
Alex Leopold earned the win on the hill, and Trevor Leopold cracked a three-run double in the second inning to give the Lakers the lead.
Working through 6 2-3 innings, Alex Leopold allowed one run on seven hits, with five walks and eight strikeouts.
Lon Eichenberger was 2-for-2 with a pair of walks, Alex Meyer hit an RBI single and Matt Franks added an RBI double for the Lakers.
