WINDOM -- Kody Johnson hit a grand slam and Charlie Dunnick pitched a shutout as Windom blanked Hadley 10-0 on Friday in an amateur baseball matchup.
Johnson's bases-loaded shot came in the second inning, part of a six-run frame that launched the Pirates (6-7) into their lead.
Dunnick held Hadley (6-8) to three hits over seven innings. He walked four batters and struck out three.
Kirby Johnson went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, Dane Nielson (2-for-3) doubled and Tyler Knutson added a 2-for-3 performance at the plate for Windom.
The Pirates host Jackson on Wednesday.
