SLAYTON -- The only thing that could dim Nate Jensen's gem was the darkness.
Jensen scattered three hits and struck out five batters, carrying Worthington's VFW baseball squad to a five-inning victory over Slayton in a contest that was shortened due to lack of light.
He received offensive help from Tyler Verdoorn's two-run base hit in the third inning, and doubles from Lucas Henning and Deron Soderholm.
Worthington (7-5) hosts Tracy on Wednesday.
