PIPESTONE -- Cole Zephier scored a game-high 17 points to lead second-seeded Pipestone Area to a victory over seventh-seeded St. James Area Saturday in the Section 3AA boys basketball tournament.

Carter Colemer added 15 points for the Arrows, who led 37-20 at halftime. Tyl Woelber scored nine for PA.

Parker Jones scored 12 points to lead St. James Area.

The Arrows will face third-seeded Jackson County Central -- a 77-64 winner over Martin County West -- on Thursday in Windom.

St. James Area 20 45Pipestone Area 37 69Fairmont 55, T-M-B 39 FAIRMONT -- Top-seeded Fairmont had a slim 24-20 lead at halftime over eighth-seeded Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, but the Cardinals outscored the Panthers 31-19 in the second half to advance in the Section 3AA tournament.

Fairmont (19-6) will face fourth-seeded Windom Area -- 73-61 winners over Luverne -- at 7 p.m. Thursday in Jackson.

Sam Schwieger and Nathan Kallenbach each scored 17 points to lead Fairmont, while Brady Allen added 10 points.

Fritz Landherr had 12 points to lead T-M-B, while Moses Dolan added nine and Lucas Gervais scored eight.
