SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- The Minnesota West Blujay baseball team managed just five hits in two games Thursday in losing a pair to Mount Marty JV, 12-2, and Briar Cliff JV, 4-3.
Against Mount Marty, Andrew DeBoer had a solo home run in the fourth inning and Brian Harberts had a hit and an RBI in the fifth inning as the Bluejays (1-7) managed just two hits and committed five errors.
In the second game of the day, MW scored a single run in the fourth, fifth and sixth inning, but gave up four runs in the sixth to drop a 4-3 decision.
Nick Ahrens threw three innings and allowed just one hit while walking three for MW.
DeBoer, Trent Anderson and Harberts each had a hit, while Anderson and Harberts each drove in a run.

"We left 10 guys on base and we did not execute very well either," MW head coach Jeremy Irlbeck said. "But we got better on our spring trip."
The Bluejays will play against Vermillion Community College Monday in the Metrodome with the first pitch scheduled for 7:30 a.m.
