WORTHINGTON -- Bill Ammentorp will present "Agriculture and Social Change: Images from the American Heartland," at noonWednesday in the Fine Arts Theater of Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Worthington campus.
Ammentorp is a professor emeritus from the University of Minnesota. He started the doctoral program at the U of M in leadership education
His presentation will include: Death of the dream, empty farms and towns in the Dakotas and western Minnesota; the economic and social geography of Minnesota; a competitive landscape; and an educated-centered strategy, the role of community, technical and tribal colleges in the future of rural Midwest.
Following his presentation, Ammentorp (pen name Marston Moore) will sign copies of his book, "Prairie Perpendicular."
