PIPESTONE -- The Pipestone Area Arrows Marching Band placed seventh in the Youth in Music Marching Band Championship on Saturday in Minneapolis. Pipestone Area also placed second in the Class AA preliminary competition and won a YIMMY for "Best Performer," presented by Minnesota Brass.
The Worthington High School Marching Band placed third in class A and received the "Spirit of Youth in Music" Award, presented by Doug Schmitt of Schmitt Music. Heather Johnson of Worthington High School was named a Youth in Music 2008 Scholarship Winner.
