WORTHINGTON -- With very windy conditions Tuesday, the Luverne Cardinals captured a pair of victories over Worthington in boys' and girls' golf competition at the Worthington Country Club.
Girls Luverne 208, Worthington 211
Meghan Westendorf won medalist honors for Worthington with a 45, but the Trojans fell three shots short.
Kendall Spartz and Leigh VanHove each shot a 55, while Alison Jaycox shot a 56.
Lizzy Wettering finished with a 57, while Megan Meier finished with a 59 for Worthington (2-2).

For Luverne, Jessica Dorhout and Erika Rust each fired a 50, while Krista VanDyk finished with a 52.
Kaia Nowatzki shot a 56, while Lexy Kindt and Missy Olson shot a 59 and 63, respectively.
Boys Luverne 182, Worthington 206
On the boys' side, Luverne had four players fire a 48 or lower in a victory over the Trojans.
"I see our scores continue to come down," Worthington head coach Ron Wood said. "The wind was kind of hectic on us today."
Ben Nath finished with a 42 to earn medalist honors, while Brandon Klein had a 45.
Skyler Hoiland had a 47, while Dan Hup finished with a 48.
Cody Hemme finished with a 49, and Chris Bolt had a 60 for the Cardinals (1-0).

For Worthington (0-4), Ryan Radloff and Brady Barrie each shot a 45 to lead the Trojan scores.
Joe Christiansen and Evan Almberg each had a 58, while Ethan Petersen (60) and Scott Simpson (63) were just out of the scoring for Worthington.
The Trojan boys' and girls' team will travel to Red Rock Central Friday before traveling to Marshall Saturday.
Boys JCC 186, Marshall 192
JACKSON -- Scott Benson's round of 42 helped the Jackson County Central Huskies earn a key Southwest Conference victory over the Marshall Tigers.
Pat Garvin and Tyler Asa each carded a 47 for JCC (2-0, 2-0), while Evan Sieler capped the Huskies' scoring with a 50.
Marshall's Tony Krogen earned the medal with a score of 40. David Ellingson (50), Andy Schreiner (51) and Beau Bredeson (51) rounded out the scoring for the Tigers.

LAKEFIELD -- Andrew Rossow's medalist round of 45 sparked the Southwest Star Concept Quasars (3-0) past Round Lake-Brewster.
Brady Hall (50), Cory Pelzel (52) and Logan Glaser (54) also contributed to the Quasars' winning effort.
Craig Correll topped RL-B with a round of 49. Tim Haberman (52), Erik Bourquin (53) and Kyle Wendland (61) finished the scoring for the Raiders.
W-WG 188, H-BC/E 223
WESTBROOK -- Patrick Schweim's medalist round of 46 led a balanced Westbrook-Walnut Grove lineup, as the Chargers clipped Hills-Beaver Creek/Ellsworth in the season-opener for both squads.
Derek Eichner and Jared Lindaman each shot a 47 for W-WG (1-0), and Austin Quade fired a 48.
Caleb Schroer topped H-BC/E (0-1) with a round of 52. Andrew Scholten and Austin Rauk each carded a 54, while Caleb Ellingson finished the scoring with a 63.

SANBORN -- Redwood Valley captured the victory over Red Rock Central and Tracy-Milroy-Balaton in a triangular meet.
Redwood scored 184 points to edge RRC's total of 188. T-M-B finished with 206 points.
Redwood's Joe Rebstock and Jackson Kaster fired a 45 apiece, while Dane Buysse and Derek Baune each carded a 47 for the Cardinals.
RRC's Blake Walker earned medalist honors with his score of 41. Jordan Smith, Chris Miller and Matt Fox rounded out the Falcons' scoring with respective scores of 47, 49 and 51.
Tyler Christiansen led T-M-B with a 49. Austin Butman (50), Bo Kirsh (53) and Ryan Kaup (54) also contributed to the team score for the Panthers.

Fulda 218, SSC 256
LAKEFIELD -- Fulda's Amanda Wilkening medaled with a round of 52 to spark the Raiders to a victory over Southwest Star Concept.

Liz Ciesielski backed up Wilkening with a 53, while Chrissy Wieskus shot a 55, and Abigail Hubbling fired a 58 for Fulda.
Nicole Mueller led SSC (0-3) with a 55, while Elizabeth Paul had a 60. Ally Lenz (63) and Aerial Nitch (78) finished the scoring for the Quasars.
W-WG 232, Adrian 248
ADRIAN -- Westbrook-Walnut Grove received a medalist round of 57 from Alexis Quade and good balance from her teammates in a victory over the Adrian Dragons.
Whitney Frank and Kylie Erickson each carded a 58 for W-WG (2-0), and Danielle Osland had a 59.
Brittany Loosbrock shot a 60 to pace Adrian (0-1). Carmen Wieneke and Kelsey Altman each shot a 62 for the Dragons, while Karlee Jackson had a 64.
Adrian hosts MCC Thursday.

JACKSON -- Behind a medalist round of 50 from Emily Marker, the Jackson County Central Huskies defeated Marshall in a Southwest Conference contest.
Briel Hendrickson and Erica Voss followed Marker's score by shooting a 52 apiece, and Karlee Schneekloth fired a 53 for the Huskies (2-0, 2-0).
Kayla Johnson, Olivia Bennett and Christine Pollack each carded a 57 for Marshall, and Emily Buysse shot a 60.
RRC 210, Redwood Valley 228
SANBORN -- Sarah DeCock shot a 47 to medal and pace the Red Rock Central Falcons to a victory over Redwood Valley.
Alyse Quade fired a 53 for RRC, while Alison Kircher shot a 54, and Caitlyn DeCock carded a 56 to help the Falcons earn the victory.
Beth Maland led Redwood with a 50. Veronica Busiahn (54), Bailey Kaster (58) and Casey Smith (66) rounded out the scoring for the Cardinals.
Tracy-Milroy-Balaton's Vicki Lau also competed, shooting a 65.
